“The Lofoten Archipelago is so peaceful and quiet. Staring out across the beautiful water while breathing in the crisp air allows me to really think and breathe.

The red house is a ‘rorbuer’ in Reine, it’s a fisherman’s cabin only used or a few months in the wintertime when it’s the season to catch the Norwegian Arctic cod. A lot of them are now renovated for tourists to stay in, but you can still imagine the harsh life of a Norwegian fisherman. They slept 4-6 men per cabin and there was always a team sleeping, and a team out to sea so the beds never got cold. I like the simple architecture and the sense of authentic life here that you no longer have in the bigger cities. ”
